CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative reached another milestone in its commitment to expanding inclusive and sustainable protection with the successful launch of TAKAFUL for Bangsamoro: Launching Takaful for Inclusive and Climate-Resilient Communities.
The event brought together 118 participants representing 65 cooperatives and organizations, highlighting a shared commitment to making protection more accessible, compassionate, and responsive to the needs of Bangsamoro communities. Through inspiring keynote messages, engaging discussions, and the official launch of the initiative, participants reaffirmed their collective vision of promoting financial inclusion while strengthening resilience against the growing impacts of climate change.
This milestone is part of CLIMBS’ initiative supported by the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Through this collaboration, CLIMBS continues to advance innovative, community-based solutions that strengthen climate resilience, expand access to inclusive protection, and promote sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities.
The launch also reflects CLIMBS’ unwavering commitment to delivering Takaful, a protection model built on the principles of mutual support, shared responsibility, and compassion. By expanding access to people-centered protection solutions, CLIMBS continues to empower cooperatives and communities to become more resilient, financially secure, and better prepared for future challenges.
