CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative participated in the MAP-CDRFI Southeast Asia Roundtable Discussion on October 9, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, reinforcing its commitment to advancing accessible climate insurance and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities.
Led by President and CEO Mr. Noel D. Raboy, CLIMBS joined organizations and climate insurance practitioners from across Southeast Asia to exchange experiences, discuss shared challenges, and explore approaches to making climate insurance more accessible, affordable, and responsive to community needs.
The discussion provided an opportunity to learn from regional experiences and explore how cooperation can support communities facing climate-related risks. Participants shared perspectives on strengthening financial protection and helping vulnerable sectors better prepare for and recover from climate impacts.
Through its Weather Protect Insurance (WPI), CLIMBS shared its experience in providing climate risk protection for farmers and cooperative member-owners. The program reflects the cooperative insurer’s commitment to protecting livelihoods and supporting financial resilience at the grassroots.
CLIMBS extends its appreciation to the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC) and its partners for convening the discussion and creating a space for regional learning and collaboration.
