CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative joins cooperative leaders from around the world in Panama City for the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Global Conference and General Assemblies 2026, centered on the theme “Building Bridges: Cooperative Contributions for a Peaceful World.” Ahead of the Global Conference, the CLIMBS delegation joined cooperative and financial-sector leaders in a special invitation-only meeting convened at the request of Panamanian public and private financial-sector authorities, together with national financial cooperatives and IPACOOP. Organized and hosted by Danilo Salerno, Regional Director of ICA Americas, the meeting provided an important space for dialogue on cooperative finance, financial inclusion, regulation, innovation, and greater collaboration across regions.
The CLIMBS delegation is headed by President and CEO Noel D. Raboy, who also serves as a Director of the Fund for International Cooperative Development (FICD), together with Vice Chair Fr. Elmo P. Manching and CLIMBS Director MGen. Gilbert F. Llanto, who also serves as a Director of ICA Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP).
Joining them are members of the CLIMBS senior management team—Group SVPs Donna C. Dizon, Renan Diaz, Blesilda Cimba, and Bernadeth Bernadas—together with Henry Lopez, CEO of CLIFSA. The delegation reflects the growing ecosystem of CLIMBS-led and affiliated organizations, including CIMAC, RECoop, the Co-operative College of the Philippines (CCPH), NaFeCoop, CLIFSA, the emerging bank, and the Cooperative Chamber of the Philippines. Together, these institutions demonstrate how cooperatives can connect insurance and financial protection, access to finance, renewable energy, cooperative education, advocacy and representation, institutional development, and community resilience to create greater impact for members and communities.
