CLIMBS takes part at the festival of cooperatives in Manchester, UK: Proudly representing the Philippine Cooperative movement
With pride and purpose, CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative took part in the Festival of Cooperatives held in Manchester and Rochdale, United Kingdom, actively showcasing the strength and solidarity of the Philippine cooperative movement on the global stage.
Led by Chairperson Fr. Elmo P. Manching and Vice-Chairperson Marlene D. Sindayen, together with members of the Board of Directors and top management, CLIMBS participated in a weeklong celebration of cooperative excellence, heritage, and innovation. Their presence highlighted the cooperative’s growing global engagement and its vital role in shaping the future of people-centered enterprises.
During the festival, CLIMBS proudly contributed to various high-level activities and dialogues, including:
- Participation in the ICA General Assembly, reinforcing ties with the international cooperative community.
- A learning visit to the Co-op Academy Belle Vue, exploring progressive approaches in cooperative education.
- Active engagement in the CM50 Meeting, a global leadership circle focused on shaping strategy for the 2025 International Year of Cooperatives (IYC2025).
- Participation in the Cooperative Identity Consultation, helping define the evolving values and principles of cooperatives worldwide.
- Contribution to the “Co-ops Build a Better World” panel, emphasizing the cooperative model as a tool for inclusive progress.
- Sharing perspectives in the “Cooperatives for International Development” panel, showcasing CLIMBS’ commitment to community-rooted global impact.
