ICA Congress 2025: Honoring Our Cooperative Legacy on the Global Stage
CLIMBS Joins the ICA Congress in the UK to Celebrate 130 Years of Global Cooperation
CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative continues to affirm its deep-rooted commitment to the cooperative movement by proudly participating in the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Conference and General Assembly, as well as the Cooperative Congress held in Manchester and Rochdale, United Kingdom—the historical birthplace of the modern cooperative movement.
Led by Chairperson Fr. Elmo P. Manching and President & CEO Mr. Noel Raboy, the CLIMBS Board of Directors and top management joined fellow cooperators from around the world in this momentous week-long event. Their presence underscores CLIMBS’ dedication to global solidarity, shared values, and its evolving role in shaping the future of cooperative insurance.
The gathering is especially meaningful as 2025 marks the United Nations’ Second International Year of Cooperatives, and the 130th anniversary of the ICA—a milestone that celebrates over a century of unity, resilience, and people-centered enterprise.
Set against the rich cooperative history of Manchester and Rochdale, the congress served not only as a forum for collaboration and knowledge exchange but also as a tribute to the enduring legacy of cooperation as a global force for social and economic development.
