Continuing our Climate Action advocacy, CLIMBS hosted a successful activity entitled: “Weather Protect Insurance: Community of Practice of Participating Cooperatives” from March 21 to 22, 2023 at Solea Mactan Resort in Cordova, Cebu. The activity’s theme was: Helping Cooperatives and Agripreneurs Build Resilient and Sustainable Communities and Climate Action through Digital Solutions. A community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals. The activity was also to showcase CLIMBS’s new international partner, The InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) which promotes the development of innovative and sustainable climate risk insurance products in developing and emerging countries.
With the help of ISF and our global partners , IBISA, CIAT and GP, we will be able to reach more cooperatives and communities throughout the Philippines.
The project is also supported by the ICMIF, where CLIMBS is also a member.
