August 22, 2023Our Sales Achievers, together with, and with the support of, the Top Management, were sent to Japan for a travel incentive as a reward for their exemplary efforts in achieving their targets for the year 2022. The objective of the incentive program is to boost our Sales People’s performance and engagements; hence, part of their scheduled events and activities is to visit the cooperatives in Japan — to learn and be inspired by its best practices.
Last August 3, 2023, CLIMBS Team visited 3 coops that are members of ICMIF AOA, arranged and coordinated by Hiroko Kowada, the executive assistant of ICMIF Asia Oceania Association & ZENKYOREN. They visited Kokumin Kyosai Co-op, CO-OP Kyosai, and JA Kyosai (ZENKYOREN) – National Mutual Insurance Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives.
Kokumin Kyosai Co-op, formerly known as Zenrosai, established in September 1957, is a National Federation of Workers and Consumers Kyosai Cooperatives that provides insurance services for consumers.
CO-OP Kyosai, launched in 1984 as Relief Money among their Co-op Members. It was born from and shaped by the voices of its members, where the majority of its members are women.
Zenkyoren (National Mutual Insurance Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives), the largest ICMIF member (and third overall) in the Global 500 rankings, is the national federation that manages Kyosai (the name for cooperative insurance in Japan) business for farmers in the JA Group consisting of more than 600 Japan Agricultural Cooperatives (JAs) all over Japan. Zenkyoren is ranked number 5 in the top 10 of cooperatives and mutuals worldwide by turnover.
We will continue to improve, increase proficiency, and will gain a competitive edge, while upholding the cooperative values and principles, as we echo our battlecry: “Insuring 20 Million Lives by 2024”.
