October 31, 2023The CLIMBS top management, VP for marketing Ms. Rowena L. Abella, WPI Project Manager Mr. Rueland Marapao, and CIAT Senior Research Associate in the Agriculture Systems, Mr. James Elwyn Leyte, welcomed the guests Ms. Irene Loder and Ms. Norah Licet Becerra Farfan from the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) in Davao Airport to conduct their second leg of co-op visitation that included a focused group discussion with CSA farmer participants in Nabunturan Integrated Cooperative (NICO) in Davao City on October 17, 2023.
On the following day, VP for Sales, Mr. Renan P. Diaz, and Atty. Dixie G. Olape went with the participants as they continued to proceed with their third leg of co-op visitation in Sta. Monica of Bukidnon MPC stopped by the farmlands in Maramag Community MPC in Bukidnon on October 18, 2023.
The ISF journey to Bukidnon is an eye-opening experience for both cooperatives and guests, taking into account the farmlands’ distinctive beauty and biodiversity as well as identifying the many elements that influence sustainable agriculture.
These trips will provide a method for farmer-members and the agriculture business to create a better, more integrated world through cross-cultural interchange and cooperative partnerships.
Lastly, on October 20, 2023, the delegates visited the CLIMBS Head Office in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City, as welcomed by CEO and President Noel D. Raboy, WPI Core Team Project Manager, Mr. Rueland Mark Marapao, and Project Lead, Mr. Ruel Arsua, together with managers and department heads.
Shortly after, the ISF delegates also paid a visit to CLIMBS Insurance and Financial Services Agency’s (CLIFSA) new building located in Tiano-Pacana, Cagayan de Oro City, spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Henry M. Lopez, in which they also prepared an enthusiastic greeting for the guests.
The ISF delegates learned more about the company’s joint goals and shared principles for managing climate-related threats by immersing themselves in the rich culture and diversity of Filipinos mixed with cooperativism.
They also expressed the ISF’s support in fulfilling their goals to improve the lives of farmer-members by boosting programs such as Weather Protect Insurance, which has the potential to significantly contribute to the agriculture sector.
