July 12, 2024CLIMBS Hosts Esteemed International Partners from BRS – Belgian Raiffeisen Foundation
We recently had the honor of hosting our esteemed international partners from the BRS – Belgian Raiffeisen Foundation, represented by Lieven Keppens, Natalie Vanden Eynde, and Bernd Stienaers, from June 26-28, 2024. This three-day engagement was marked by a series of comprehensive evaluations, strategic idea exchanges, and insightful learning sessions, all aimed at assessing our current position and charting the course for the next two years of our cooperative agreement focused on data warehouse development.
Throughout the visit, we celebrated impactful milestones and took significant strides towards fostering inclusion across various departments. Our collaborative effort is aimed at enhancing our data quality management and data-driven decision-making tools, ensuring that their benefits are realized not only by the board and management but also by the entire CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative workforce. This initiative is pivotal in optimizing our operations, improving service delivery, and fostering a culture of transparency and efficiency within our organization.
Our discussions covered a wide range of topics, from innovative financial products to sustainable agricultural practices, reflecting our commitment to comprehensive growth and development. The insights gained from our BRS partners were invaluable, providing us with fresh perspectives and new strategies to enhance our offerings and better serve our members.
A special thanks go out to Bukidnon Government Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BUGEMCO) CEO Venus Lubguban and Vice Chair Ruth Jacutin for their exceptional hospitality. Their efforts provided our guests with a profound understanding of the dynamic cooperative leadership in the Philippines. The visit to BUGEMCO was a highlight of the trip, showcasing the cooperative’s robust governance, innovative initiatives, and strong community impact. This immersive experience allowed our BRS partners to witness firsthand the dedication and resilience of our local cooperatives, reinforcing the importance of our shared mission.
Additionally, we extend heartfelt appreciation to the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) for laying the foundation for our ongoing collaborative success. The support and guidance from ICMIF have greatly enriched our synergetic efforts, enabling us to leverage international best practices and drive meaningful change within our cooperative sector.
The visit from our BRS partners has reinforced our commitment to strengthening international partnerships and driving innovation within the cooperative sector. We are energized by the outcomes of this engagement and look forward to the continued collaborative work ahead. Together, we are poised to achieve new heights of success, fostering sustainable development, enhancing financial inclusion, and building resilient communities.
Here’s to strengthening international partnerships and driving innovation in the cooperative sector! We are excited about the future and the positive impact our collective efforts will bring to our members and the broader cooperative movement.
