February 1, 2024CLIMBS’ Weather Protect Insurance pays 2.7M cash assistance from weather triggers to PH Farmers: 1st Year Journey with ISF
February 2, 2024Keeping up with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, CLIMBS, in collaboration with Kusgan Volunteers Inc., held a coastal clean-up in the areas of Baybay, Bulua, and Cagayan de Oro City on January 27, 2024, beginning at 6 a.m. Over 355 employees, staff, and volunteers gathered together to dedicate their time and efforts to picking up trash and garbage along the coastline.
Through volunteerism and community engagement, CLIMBS, along with 16 local partners and sponsors from both the public and private sectors, attended the first clean-up event of the year led by the KVI team, which seeks to ignite a heart for volunteerism among every attendee in hopes that these activities will slowly build a culture of socially responsible individuals who are deeply concerned about the well-being of the environment and how it affects the lives of those who live nearby the coastal areas.
CLIMBS would also like to extend a special thanks to the environment committee, Mr. Lorenzo Alagad Rosales Jr., Ms. Eva Agua and Fire Volunteer Aspirants, the KVI Emergency Medical Team, Mr. Xavier John Petallar, and members of the Food Committee. The first coast activity of the year is also in partnership with BIR, Bureau of Fire Protection, Cocpo, Barangay Bulua Councils, Zone 4 Bulua, Kk Bulua, J&T Express, Vjandep, Cec, Oro Bughaw Eagles, Guardian’s, Regional Medical Dental Unit 10, Regional Explosive and Ordnance Unit K-9 Unit, City Mobile Force Company, CMFC, Savior of the Sea, and COC Phinma.
These environmental efforts aim to respond to the call for climate action and capacitate the workforce by being an active voice in environmental conservation and marine life preservation activities. The concept of the Filipino “bayanihan” spirit entails the power of cooperativism amidst the strenuous challenges and obstacles imposed by climate-induced risks in the country.
