September 29, 2023With the sole purpose of improving strategic management, personal leadership, and providing a platform for innovative ideas to strengthen organizational structure, CLIMBS Top management recently attended a two-week long Executive Program for Strategy and Organization at Stanford Graduate Business School last August 13–25, 2023, in Stanford, California.
The Vice President for Operations, Blesilda L. Cumba; Vice President for Sales, Renan P. Diaz; Vice President for Finance, Investment, and Treasury, Reynaldo G. San Andres, CPA; and CLIFSA President and CEO, Henry M. Lopez, successfully completed the program in attempts to improve the organizational and business strategy of the company while developing a globally competitive edge.
The two-week program consisted of analyzing different strategies and testing new approaches that may or may not work in the organization, being immersed with different organizational leaders from different backgrounds and gaining knowledge from their shared experiences; which involves learning newfound methods when it comes to strategic planning through lectures, hands-on exercises, crafting action plans, and group discussions.
“The program that we attended in Stanford– was more about leadership and strategy. Basically, the sessions focused more on how a leader can innovate and strategize in terms of operations, crisis management, digitalization, and conflicts. Basically, it revolved around strategizing. In a way, it was less on the financial aspect, but it was more on leadership,” Vice President for Operations, Blesilda L. Cumba shared her personal experience with the program.
“I would really recommend these types of training whether it’d be Stanford or any type of training. It’s good that we have this so that not only us– in the management would be able to experience it, but everyone who is qualified because it would really help us. It would help us bridge the decisions of the leaders in the management, why we decide on things, so they would be able to relate. So I think this would bridge the gap, allowing all of us to be on the same page,” She also added.
A LinkedIn review from Subhanjali V., a fellow program participant, describes the Innovating Product Leadership: Emerging Chief Product Officer (ECPO) as “An amazing learning and a life-changing experience,” which covers concepts ranging from product strategy to data leveraging and AI science. Mehul Patel, another participant, also stated, “We discussed and debated a wide range of products from various topics.“
The program also facilitated an information sharing opportunity for the participants to discuss their own company’s strengths and challenges while learning from implemented strategies and case studies from globally-renowned companies such as Amazon, CISCO, and Google.
With over 75 senior product leaders from diverse cultures and experiences joining the program, CLIMBS top management hopes to foster stronger capacity-building initiatives and adapt to the fast-paced development of digital innovations that can aid the company’s growth and productivity.
